Day 172: Where His Money Used to Be

“A Father is someone who carries pictures where his money used to be. “

I remember what a good feeling it was when I finally had enough money to need a wallet. I got my first full-time job one Summer during high school, and even that little money went a long way when I didn’t have to use it for things like rent, baby food and diapers.

Now as an adult, my wallet is empty more often than it is full. My financial obligations have increased, but so have the rewarding aspects of my life. No amount of money can replace the most important people in my life, and so I don’t mind that my wallet’s not quite as full as before.
